Cuvée wines are among the most expensive wines in the world. Cuvées include, among others, very famous wines from very famous growing regions such as Bordeaux in France or the growing region of Rioja, in Spain. Probably the most famous Cuvée in the world is the Champagne. This consists of the three grape varieties Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier.
Also in South Africa are world-famous Cuvées are produced. This is largely also due to the French history.
WHAT IS A CUVÉE?
The grapes can be blended at two different times. On the one hand, this occurs already during pressing. The result is the joint fermentation in the tank or wooden barrel. On the other hand, the wine is often blended after the successful fermentation. Thus, the wine matures together during storage.
