Winemaker: Danie de Wet
The name De Wetshof
stands since the 1970s for the production of absolutely first class premium wines
in South Africa. De Wetshof was the first winery in the Robertson Wine Valley and quickly made a name for itself as a Chardonnay-Specialist.
But with their fine Sauvignon Blanc prove Danie de Wet
and his cellar master Mervin Williams that they are not exclusive to Chardonnay .
Danie didn't always want to be a Winemaker like most winemakers, because he wanted to be a veterinarian, but when his father held out the prospect of working at the most important German viticultural school in Geisenheim
to study, a decision was made a little sweeter for him. Upon his return, his father gave him a free hand, the farm De Wetshof
according to its criteria into a modern winery convert.
