Diemersdal Winery
Diemersdal Winery
The Diemersdal Winery was founded as early as 1698, making it one of the oldest wineries in Africa. However, wine production for a larger, international market only began in the 1970s. The estate is located in the Durbanville wine region north of Cape Town. Here, at the foot of the Dorstberg, the conditions for viticulture are excellent.

Winemaker: Thys Louw
Thys Louw learned the trade from his father and has been responsible for the wine qualities at Diemersdal together with Mari Branders for a few years. Thys has also launched a modern wine line with IT factor with the two wines Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon . As is usually the case, a new generation also brings with it new momentum. Thanks to Thys, Diemersdal is about to take off from a solid base into new spheres.
