Meerlust Winery
Meerlust with its historic manor house, classic wine cellar, family cemetery, dovecote and bird sanctuary is located fifteen kilometers south of Stellenbosch, the blue crescent of False Bay is only five kilometers away. The wines are made only from grapes grown on the estate, which has a unique position for the production of wines with exceptional complexity and character.

Truter officially joined Meerlust on May 1, 2020. His most recent position was head Winemaker at KWV. Truter has also worked at various wineries in Europe, Australia and America, including Jordan Vineyard & Winery in Sonoma and Tintara Hardy's in McLaren Vale, Australia.
